2′ by 8′ of tweed grass

finished strip of tweed grass using a randomly striped warp, shown here on my parent’s kitchen floor:

i also randomly kicked the tweed’s direction back and forth.

detail of an area of shag loops and bit of tapestry:

i love the loops and the tapestry, but since i have limited time to complete the fairway, these will probably be the only areas with experimental (for me) techniques like this. but i can already scheme for future projects….

  1. i love the little surprises in this piece. one’s like a playful bath loofa and the other a blood stain. beautiful. i know i’ve said this before but the color is delicious! your parents are lucky to have this on their floor, albeit temporarily. and your mom is lucky to be working for you šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚ tee hee x

  2. i love the reading of a blood stain… it does look like that, and the idea gives it movement (and gives me more ideas for future work!).
